Strophanthin

Strophanthin is a naturally occurring cardiac glycoside extracted from the plant Strophanthus. It is a plant from tropical regions of Africa that is used in traditional medicine and is studied for its medicinal properties.

Of particular interest is the heart-active substance strophanthin, which is used for heart problems such as cardiac arrhythmia and mild forms of heart failure.

Strophanthin has positive effects on heart function by increasing the contractility of the heart muscle and regulating the heart rate, which contributes to improved blood flow and oxygen supply to the heart muscle.

Strophanthin could provide valuable support for patients affected by coronary artery disease or mild heart failure in particular.
The chances of recovery with the use of strophanthin depend on various factors, such as the individual health of the patient, the type and severity of the heart problems and the dosage and duration of treatment used. For some patients, strophanthin can have positive effects on heart function and help relieve symptoms.

Nevertheless, caution is advised, as self-medication or untested applications are risky. Responsible use under medical supervision is therefore essential. The indication, choice of remedy and dosage should be overseen by an experienced doctor.
Research on strophanthus is very promising and it is also being studied whether strophanthin thas a positive effect on the brain, e.g. in the case of Alzheimer’s disease or strokes.
