RS Virus
Respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) is a common viral infectious disease that leads to respiratory infections, particularly in infants and young children. However, this viral infection can also occur in other age groups. The prognosis of these infections can be classified as good.
Symptoms and Diagnosis
Typical symptoms range from mild rhinitis and fever to more severe respiratory problems.
Diagnosis is based on a medical examination, swab samples and, if necessary, a blood test to detect antibodies against the RS virus.
RS Virus Treatment
Treatment focuses primarily on symptomatic relief, hydration and supportive medication.
In more severe cases, hospitalization may be necessary. Preventive measures include strengthening the immune system. Since 80% of the immune system is located in the intestine, intestinal cleansing is very important.
An analysis of micronutrients can indicate possible deficiencies. These should be professionally balanced with suitable measures so that the immune system can function optimally.

It is important to seek medical advice at an early stage if there are signs of respiratory problems or other symptoms. This is particularly important for risk groups such as infants and the elderly.
